Cairns Early Years Centre & Kindergarten

Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Cairns, QLD, Australia

Child Health, Education & Care – Parental Support & Advice. We are not a day-care centre!

Early Years Centres are 'one-stop-shops' where children and their families can access integrated early childhood education and care and parenting and family support services in one convenient location. The centre provides a range of services for children, from pre-birth to eight years, and their families to give children the flying start they deserve.

Our Cairns Early Years Kindergarten provides high quality education and care for children aged 3 ½ to 4 ½ years of age.

Our kindergarten opening hours are 8.45am - 2.45pm. Our Early Years Centre office is open daily from 8.30am until 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Enrolled children attend Kindergarten 5 days every fortnight for 40 weeks each year during school term. This usually works out at two days one week, and three the following week.

Group A attends Mondays, Tuesdays and alternate Wednesdays
Group B attends Thursdays, Fridays and alternate Wednesdays

Prices for 2012 are $110 per fortnight or $50 per fortnight if you are health care card holder. Contact Karina on 07 4045 0003 for more information on how to enroll your child for 2012 or express your interest for enrolling for the years 2013-2015.

What makes us different?
Apart from the kindergarten, we will offer a range of services for young families all under the one roof.
At the Cairns Early Years Centre there are child nurses, family support workers, early childhood educators, a psychologist, a speech pathologist, playgroup coordinators. We will offer parenting programs, a toy library, programs to enhance children's literacy and attention skills.

We believe that all children and their families should be treated with equality and inclusively. By connecting with your child and family before school starts, we can help Kindergarten be a fun and exciting experience for everyone.
